Mouthmove

2001

On two circular projection screens a videoloop is projected of a woman's and a man's mouth. They whisper words alternately, verbs concerning movements in space. They are stimuliating the spectator to different kinds of actions. Gradually, the words become more abstract.

The installation was a site-specific work set up on March 10 2001 on a squash-court in Antwerp. The court functioned as a resonance box for the whispering voices.
