Station Omnibus is an outdoor video-installation that resulted from a collaboration with the inhabitants of the Zeebrugge station quarter.
It consists of 5 cabins that look like the photo-booths one can find near trainstations. Each cabin contains a scale model of a living room in which video-testimonials appear of the inhabitants, telling about their "passion". The combination of video and the scale model that can be seen through the video-image by means of a one-way mirror gives the video-image a seemingly threedimensional character.
After sundown these short videloops are replaced by a large videoprojection onto all 5 cabins. It shows the participating inhabitants, appearing life-size one by one.
De installation was first presented December 2007 in front of the Zeebrugge trainstation, and January 2008 moved to the center of Bruges at the inner square of the Bruges Belfort.
