The play was first presented on location in a former meat-manufactoring company in Turnhout. In the scenography of the play, set in a laundrette, an industrial plastic draught-curtain serves both as an entry and as a projection surface. Between each scene video-images are projected suggesting time, place and mood of the upcoming scene.

Toreadors was recreated as a touring production in an adapted scenographic design (season 2001-2002).
