A few weeks after the one-man theatershow by writer Tom Lanoye Veldslag voor een man alleen a 10 minute virtual performance was presented at De Nachten, a literary happening for a teenage audience. On a large black cambric screen a videoprojection of 6 by 9 meters was shown in which the writer virtually enters the stage, sits down at a desk and presents two poems. Gradually the images cross-fade into close-ups, digital transformations of Lanoye's head, and then - during the writers's version of Band of Brothers from his Shakespeare adaptation Ten Oorlog - there's an intensified rythm of images, some of them taken from tv-news. At the moment of the presentation, the writer himself was at work in South-Africa.
