Beweeging 3

De Keering is a performance by Ilse Wanten and Toon Van Ishoven. They are seated opposite eachother on top of a small white rectangular paper-carpet. In between them a small paper projection-screen is suspended. On this screen is shown a recording of two other performers (impro: Alain Marcel en Jean-Michel Barthélery) in a white décor (the one used in top.play). The two live performers react to the movements they see on the screen - they limit their movements to hands and arms thus apparently having some sort of communication with eachother and also seemingly determining the movements of the performers on the screen.

The performance was part of a happening in the Cultureal Centrre of Berchem, organized by choreographer Marc Vanrunxt for Beweeging 3, the 3d edition of a series of mini-festivals by De Beweeging. The whole building was occupied by different performances and installations, among them Alexander Baervoets, Eric Raeves, Robert Cash, Sachiyo Takahashi and Danai Anesiadou.
